The dam is owned by Kei (maine) Power Management (iii) Llc (private). It impounds the Cobbosseecontee Stream near Gardiner.

The dam stands 24 feet tall and stretches 227 feet across, creates a reservoir covering 12 acres, has a maximum storage capacity of 108 acre-feet, and collects water from a drainage area of 220 square miles. Completed in 1900, the structure is over a century old.
