The primary purpose of Fin & Feather is recreation. The dam creates a reservoir used for recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and swimming. The dam is owned by Fin And Feather Club (private). It impounds the Tr-lake Eufaula near Bug Tussle.

The dam stands 33 feet tall and stretches 900 feet across, creates a reservoir covering 60 acres, and has a maximum storage capacity of 490 acre-feet. Completed in 1933, the structure is well-established, with more than 75 years of service.
