The primary purpose of Lakewood Lake No. 2 Dam is recreation. The dam creates a reservoir used for recreational activities such as fishing, boating, and swimming. The dam is owned by Lakewood Improvement District 4 (local government). It impounds the Dark Hollow Drain.-tr near North Little Rock.

The dam stands 64 feet tall and stretches 620 feet across, creates a reservoir covering 57 acres, has a maximum storage capacity of 2,150 acre-feet, and collects water from a drainage area of 1 square miles. Completed in 1925, the structure is over a century old.
